Gucci and the Sowind Group (that produce Girard-Perregaux watches) are both part of the larger PPR luxury group. This familial tie allows for unique creations such as this Gucci version of the well-known high-end Sea Hawk diver from Girard-Perregaux. With the Gucci name on it and a redesigned case, the timepiece is simply called the XL Dive, or sometimes just "Dive." Interestingly, from a price perspective, it opens up a bit below the Girard-Perregaux model, so let's see how it pans out.
The Porsche Design P'6780 Diver watch is a fantastic timepiece for those able to appreciate what it does and where it came from. For everyone else, it will be just another pretty, albeit strange diving watch with a popular name on the dial. While I believe there are still plenty of Porsche Design P'6780 Diver watches out there, I am unclear about the future of this model, since recently Porsche Design severed ties with their former production partner Eterna.
The Citizen Promaster Aqualand Depth Meter has existed in evolving forms for many years as a popular dive watch choice for those looking to measure their depth as well as the time under water. As an amateur diver and watch lover, I make use of my dive/tool watches to actually dive.
