Hailing from the Northern Italian town Picenza where he was born back in 1934, Giorgio Armani is considered to be one of the World’s leading fashion designers. Starting his career as a window dresser for an Italian department store, he developed a strong interest in fashion and soon rose through the employment ranks to become head salesman of their menswear department.
By the 1960’s he had gained enough experience within marketing and design to be headhunted by the Cerruti fashion house where he became involved in designing clothing for the first time.
